Johnny Manziel has been indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge by the Dallas County Grand Jury, according to a KRLD-AM report in Dallas.
The charge stems from when the troubled quarterback’s ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, accused Manziel of striking her.
Dallas police records show that Crowley attempted to get out of the moving car to safety, but Manziel stopped and dragged her back and allegedly hit her on a Jan. 30 incident.
Crowley also told a valet at Hotel Zaza--where she met Manziel that night--that she “feared for her life,” according to the police report.
This is the same incident where Manziel allegedly told her to “shut up or I’ll kill us both.”
Johnny Manziel was reportedly indicted on a misdemeanor assault charge for an alleged attack on his ex-girlfriend.
Crowley’s attorney also claimed in an affidavit that she was hit so hard her eardrum ruptured.
A judge granted her a protective order--which prohibits Manziel from being within 500 feet of her Fort Worth apartment until Feb. 3, 2018.
Manziel was not arrested at the time of the incident but Dallas Police decided to present evidence to the grand jury.
The grand jury reportedly reviewed the evidence April 21.
Manziel was cut by the Browns this offseason and was recently dropped by his second agent, Drew Rosenhaus last week.
