Kris Jenner may have orchestrated the release of her own daughter’s infamous sex tape, an explosive new biography about the Kardashian family alleges.
In the new book, "Kardashian Dynasty," author Ian Halperin postulates that the momager and her daughter, Kim, signed a deal with Vivid Films, the distributors of the sex tape that featured the then-little-known starlet and her boyfriend at the time, R&B singer Ray J.
According to Halperin, a friend close to Kim -- and to another reality star-turned-video vixen, Paris Hilton-- told her that "a sex tape would be the way" to achieve fame.
Halperin also alleges in an excerpt obtained by the Daily News that Kim's family knew about her plans to make a homemade video with the singer beforehand.
Halperin wrote in the book that he was dating a friend of Kim's named "Sheba" and that in 2010 his former flame divulged, "that it was Kris Jenner who engineered the deal behind the scenes and was responsible for the tape seeing the light of day."
In order to verify if the rumors were true, Halperin writes in “Kardashian Dynasty” that he went undercover as a "porn peddler" in an attempt to figure out how easy it was to distribute a celebrity sex tape.
The author enlisted the help of a model and met with top executives at Vivid in Los Angeles pretending to have a tape of the model and “a famous basketball player.”
She's trying to lose those post-baby pounds so Kim Kardashian turned to a good ol' selfie for help. The 35-year-old mom of two revealed she stays motivated by looking at photos of herself in her best shape. "I look back on photos that kind of inspire me. I did it then, I can do it now,: Kim captioned this throwback snap of herself, flaunting her tiny waist in a white crop top and leggings on March 25, 2016.
She broke the internet once before and it appears Kim Kardashian is at it again! The reality star shared a seriously X-rated TBT photo of herself, posing naked in her bathroom with just black bars to hide her modesty. "When you're like I have nothing to wear LOL," Kim captioned the snap on March 5, 2016.

Halperin's attempt to sell the fake tape were shot down when he was told by one of Vivid's publicists that "when it comes to marketing and selling a sex tape, both parties need to sign off."
When Halperin asked how Vivid got possession of Kim and Ray J's naughty tryst, the rep said, "A third party brought it to Vivid … [We] got in touch with the Kardashian family."
Vivid released "Kim K: Superstar" in 2007. She later ended up suing Vivid Films and settled for $5 million.
